XXXII Regata Illes Balears Clàssics - Vela Clásica Mallorca
THE highlight event in Palma de Mallorca and one of the highlights of the international classic yacht scene: Vela Clásica Mallorca, part of the “Illes Balears Clàssics”, ranks among the most important classic yacht regattas in the Mediterranean. In the Bay of Palma, historic yachts, classic racers and elegant traditional sailing yachts come together for several days of spectacular racing. And you won’t be there as a spectator. You’ll be sailing with us – as part of LILLI’s crew.
Palma de Mallorca
On board our 19-metre classic sailing yacht LILLI, you will be part of the regatta crew for several days. Together we will train, prepare the ship for the races, and then compete against other classic yachts.
You will experience firsthand what makes a classic regatta so fascinating: the tension before the start, large yachts in close quarters, sailing manoeuvres under time pressure, tactical decisions, and finally the chase for the finish line.
Depending on your experience, you will take on tasks within the crew, assist with manoeuvres, handle sheets, trim sails, or temporarily take the helm.Regatta experience is not required.Our skippers and crew will brief you and prepare you for your tasks.
One of the major stages of the classic sailing scene
This regatta is much more than a series of races. It is one of the outstanding events for classic yachts in the Mediterranean and combines demanding sailing with the unique atmosphere of Palma.
Regatta life in the harbour begins early in the morning. Crews meet for breakfast, the yachts are prepared, and discussions about the weather, wind, and the upcoming races take place on the docks.
Then the classic yachts set out together.
A few hours later, you will find yourself with LILLI in the midst of the regatta field – surrounded by some of the most beautiful classic sailing yachts in the Mediterranean.
Regatta on land – almost as important as on the water
What makes this event special is the excellent organisation surrounding the races.
The official programme combines the sport on the water with an extensive social programme on land. Shared breakfast buffets, receptions, and several evening events bring the crews together. There is also live music and sociable evenings where participants from different countries celebrate together and reflect on the day's races.
This creates exactly the atmosphere that characterises the major classic regattas in the Mediterranean:sporting competition on the water and a shared Mediterranean regatta life on land.

Monday, 9th August - Check-in from 5 PM, briefing
Tuesday, 10th August - Breakfast, sailing training, evening regatta opening event
Wednesday, 11th August - Regatta breakfast buffet, sponsors' race, regatta reception with drinks
Thursday, 12th August - Regatta breakfast buffet, regatta race, followed by regatta reception
Friday, 13th August - Regatta breakfast buffet, regatta race, followed by regatta reception with live music
Saturday, 14th August - Regatta breakfast, regatta race, evening closing event with awards ceremony & various events
Sunday, 15th August - Check-out by 11 AM
Guests become a crew.
At the beginning, we explain the yacht, assign tasks, and train together on the most important manoeuvres.
However, after the first races, the feeling on board changes. Procedures become more familiar, manoeuvres work faster, and individual participants become a crew.
This is exactly the experience we want to offer you.
You don’t have to be a regatta professional. However, you should be eager to get involved, learn new things, and sail with us.
Experienced sailors can take on more challenging tasks according to their skills. Beginners will be gradually introduced to their positions.
A maximum of five guests are on board. This keeps the experience personal, and everyone can truly become part of the crew.

Services
Included in the price: 6 nights in a double cabin, skipper & crew and taxes.
Additionally, a share of the onboard fund for regatta fees, diesel, drinks, final cleaning, etc. Please read the information regarding the onboard fund.

Club de Mar Mallorca
The event takes place at one of Spain's renowned yacht clubs, Club de Mar Mallorca.
During the regatta, LILLI is here alongside the other participating classic yachts. For our guests, this means: they do not stay somewhere outside and come to the regatta in the morning –they live right in the heart of the action.
Participants can use the club's infrastructure accessible for the regatta during the event. This includes, for example, the pool – perfect for relaxing after a challenging race before the next event begins in the evening.
The atmosphere
During the regatta, participants from all boats come together for various events. The atmosphere is characterised by friendship and interest in other sailors.
